Why I built check-my-links
After building a some websites myself with a lot of internal and external links, I ran into multiple problems with broken links.
I deleted media which was already linked somewhere resulting in broken links.
I had external links that just didn't work anymore because these websites got restructured.
I had external links which were entered incorrectly.
As the number of broken links increased, I started to look for a solution.
I wanted a reliable, inexpensive tool to periodically give me a report on broken links.
I did not find the solution I was looking for.
So I built this tool.
I hope it helps you as well.
